These adorable kids celebrated their third and first birthday in toy story mania style. Surrounded by family and friends, no detail was overlooked. Guests were greeted with cowboy hats and scarves to wear. The kids had a blast jumping in the bounce house, riding ponies and decorating their own ceramic piggie banks. In keeping with the blue, green and red toy story theme, the birthday girl’s favorite part of the event was the delicious birthday cakes by I Love Cake!. If you are in the Jacksonville area and are in need of a cake, be sure to check out I Love Cake… just thinking of the yellow cake with cookie and cream filling makes my mouth water! The excellent staff at  Jax Carriage, provided the pony rides and bounce house.

I can’t believe we are at the end of August and this is only my third entry this year at iheartfaces. Where does the time go?  This week’s theme is beach fun. This photo was taken from a recent session. My client was loving the beach and I think it shows. Oh how quickly a year goes by! Hard to believe this cutie turned one! “Sigh”  It was just the other day we were celebrating her baby shower when she quickly arrived to this world and I photographed her as a newborn, then at six months, nine months and finally at a year. It truly has been an honor to photograph her and see her grow. She happily played peek-a-boo, played the nite-nite game and even pat-a-cake. Little Miss J, you are truly delightful! Here is a sneak peek for all her family and friends.

The morning light was soft and pretty. The beach was peaceful and empty. A perfect setting for this gorgeous four year old’s birthday session. Here is a preview for mom and dad. Your gallery will be up by the end of the week.

When the mom of these precious little ones contacted me about their birthday portraits, she was also hoping for candid shots. I personally love candid photography. The un-posed, natural and spontaneous feel to an image that truly captures the subject as they are.  So we ditched their attire, stopped brushing their hair and wiping off the sand. Instead, we let them enjoy the beach.

It was an early Sunday morning, when I met with this precious baby girl and her mommy. This session was a true mommy + me session. I say that because precious Miss C could not get enough from her mommy. It was so sweet to watch the love between mommy and baby c, so special. I hope you enjoy your sneak peek.

Hard to believe that miss. j was all in tears before her photo shoot. She was unhappy to be riding in the car without her siblings. She quickly recovered and was more than willing to smile and enjoy the photo shoot. Can’t believe she is nine months already, she is standing, crawling and says “hey”. What a cutie pie, can’t wait to photographer at one years old. Enjoy your sneak peak…

With Mother’s Day behind us, i heart faces is continuing their celebration this week and its all about mamas. While going through my archives, I kept coming back to this photo I took a while back as I was wrapping up a session. It celebrates the other side of moms, the ones that have to reinforce rules and discipline from time to time. Like the mom in this picture, I also don’t like to break the news to my girls that it is time to leave the park and head home.
